Youth Worker Opportunity: Erasmus+ Training in Spain (June 2026)

24/03/2026

We are currently seeking 2 participants based in Ireland to take part in an Erasmus+ training course taking place in Spain this June.

About the Opportunity

The Green Playground – Youth Workers as Architects of Eco-Game Experiences is an international training course focused on exploring how gamification and creative methods can be used to deliver environmental education.

The training will bring together youth workers from across Europe to learn, share, and co-create practical tools that can be used in real community settings. Participants will work together to develop a digital toolkit of games and activities designed to help young people engage with environmental topics in a meaningful way.

Key Details

  • Location: Masia La Morera, near Barcelona, Spain
  • Dates: 16 - 22 June 2026
  • Participants: 2 from Ireland
  • Funding: Travel, accommodation, and food covered through Erasmus+

What You Will Do

Throughout the training, participants will take part in a range of non-formal learning activities, including:

  • Gamification workshops
  • Outdoor and experiential learning activities
  • Game testing and role-play sessions
  • Co-creation of educational tools
  • Exchange of practices with other youth workers

The programme is highly practical and designed to support participants in applying what they learn directly in their own work.

After the Training

Participants will be expected to organise a local activity or workshop in Ireland, using the methods and tools developed during the training. This is an important part of the project and ensures that the learning is shared within the wider community.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are aged 18+
  • Are youth workers, educators, facilitators, or active in community work
  • Have an interest in environmental education and creative learning
