Youth Exchange Opportunity: Creative Writing & Wellbeing in Italy (July 2026)

We are delighted to share an exciting international opportunity for young people to take part in a fully funded Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Italy this summer.

Blackwater Training will be sending a group to participate in "KOKOVERSES – Creative Writing for a Healthy Mind", a unique programme focused on creativity, mental wellbeing, and meaningful connection.

About the Programme

This youth exchange responds to a very real challenge facing young people today - digital overload and constant online pressure.

Through a series of creative and interactive workshops, participants will explore how digital life impacts mental health, relationships, and self-expression.

The programme uses creative writing as a tool for reflection and wellbeing, helping young people to process emotions, build confidence, and reconnect with themselves and others

Participants will engage in activities such as:

  • Storytelling and creative writing

  • Poetry and expression exercises

  • Group discussions on mental health and digital habits

  • Intercultural learning with young people from across Europe. 

Programme Details

  • Location: Ordona, Italy

  • Dates: 6th – 13th July 2026

  • Participants: 6 young people + 1 group leader from Ireland

  • Funding: Erasmus+ (accommodation, food, and programme costs covered)

  • Travel: Reimbursed within Erasmus+ limits

The group will stay in a countryside agriturismo, providing a relaxed and social environment where participants can connect, collaborate, and experience local Italian culture.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for 6 young people who:

  • Are aged 18–25

  • Have an interest in wellbeing, creativity, or youth work

  • Are open to new experiences and meeting others

  • Have a basic to intermediate level of English

You do not need previous Erasmus+ experience - just a willingness to get involved. 

We are also looking for 1 group leader with previous leadership experience.

Important Information

Participants must be available for the full duration of the exchange (6th – 13th July 2026).

Travel arrangements will be coordinated with Blackwater Training, and all itineraries must be approved in advance in line with Erasmus+ requirements.
